Aunty GH narrates how she got into singing

One of the few female musicians whose beauty truly matches their voice is Aunty GH who is known is private as Joanna Nkrumah. “The Best In Me” singer chronicled her singing journey on a Cape Coast based radio station, over the years.

Speaking to the host who inquired how the singing all started for her, she narrated the whole sequence on the show. She said that it all started in school, when she sang during a gospel rock show in her school, Abakrampa Senior High School and was made an automatic member of the Entertainment Committee. Prior to this performance, she often shies away from performances in school.

“During school time, I loved entertainment a lot. I used to sing a lot, but I never got myself actively involved in it. So it happened that one day, there was a gospel rock show and I was asked to sing at the event. At the end of the day, after singing, I was automatically drafted into the entertainment committee team” she narrated.

Aunty GH is a native of Abakrampa in the Central Region and after two years of singing professionally, she has the following songs to her credit; Bokor, Make mama proud, Adende, Dondo , Baddest among many others.

Her latest song is “Best In Me”. She has been nominated in two distinct categories in this year’s Central Music Awards scheduled to be held on November 30th instead of December 26th 2019. The nominations are; Female vocalist of the year and New Artiste of the year. She is currently under BeatzKlinik Records.
