Ghanaian celebrities mourn with Kofi B’s family.

After the demise of one of the legends of highlife, Kofi Boakye popularly known as Kofi B, some Ghanaian celebrities clad in their funeral regalia, were at Achimota De – Temple, today, 16th February to show solidarity and mourn with the family of the late singer.

The venue for the event was filled to capacity with some notable stars and colleagues of Kofi B like, Dada KD, K.K Fosu,Amakye Dede, Bless, Ofori Amponsah, Bessa Simons, King Pee, KK, Kabobo, Oheneba Kissi, Obrafour and a host of other artistes were at the grounds to show solidarity and sympathize with the bereaved family.

However, there were some notable chiefs and traditional leaders like the Omanhene of Agogo from the Ashanti Regionalso graced the occasion.

Ghanaian highlife legend, Kofi Boakye Yiadom, popularly known as Kofi B, passed on , Sunday, 2nd February 2020 at Abeadze Dominase, a suburb of Mankessim in the Mfantsiman district of the Central Region.

Speaking to some close relatives, it was reported that in the early hours of 2nd February, the “Afia Donkoh and Koforidua” flowers hitmaker, Kofi B was billed to perform at an event together with his colleague, Kofi Nti.

According to reports, Kofi B knocked on the door of his fellow highlife musician, Kofi Nti and allegedly complained of severe heart pains and burns, hence the former begged the latter to take him to the hospital.

It was alleged that Kofi Nti did just so, but unfortunately, the doctors at Abeadze Dominase health Centre, where he was taken, did all they could to rescue the highlife legend from the jaws of death, but it was to no avail.

However, according to reports, it was alleged that the singer was perspiring, his blood pressure and body temperature had risen abnormally. Although he was said to have been put under oxygen, the “Belinda” crooner was believed to have passed on around 3 am this morning.

Kofi B’s remains has since been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, (CCTH) morgue for autopsy.

The family has however scheduled his burial for 26th April 2020.
