Ololo, the new biggest joint in town, seems to be catching up with everyone and Stonebwoy who is not an exception, narrates how the whole collaboration started and he “fell in love” with the Nigerian songstress. He narrated the whole ordeal and surprising moment on Andy Dosty’s show, earlier today.
Today on Hitz Day Break show, Stonebwoy gives a chronology of how they both met and decided to put this joint together. During the interview, he recounted that he had watched a rap free style of the Nigerian talented music queen, Teni on an old high life song and he became fond of her enviable talent. He tells of how he carries her saved free style rap, showering praises and hailing her only to realize that Teni was also following him on Instagram.
“When I saw her freestyle video even before she put up a song, I just fell in love with what she did. She did a freestyle on a cover of an old high life song. So I actually saved it and anytime I met anyone, I was like this girl is gonna blow cos I liked the style and ever since from there, I liked her; only for me to realize that she was following me on Instagram”.
He further added that he penned Ololo down and needed someone to complement the track. Interestingly, she came to mind so he made the necessary relinks by contacting a DJ on his whatsapp line and that led to the beautiful collaboration.
“I built this song and I realized I needed to put someone who could complement this track on the song and she just came to mind. So I made the necessary relinks, contacted one of my DJ contacts on my whatsapp and I requested for her number. So he sent a number and I relinked”.
Interestingly, Stonebwoy has revealed that he has not returned the award plaques he won at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) this year because he did not steal the awards and therefore, does not see the need to return them as directed by the Board of the awards.
