Multiple award winner and best artiste for the decade, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has shared some experiences in life and how he met Hammer of the Last Two.
In an instagram live video with Hammer, the “Adonai” music crooner revealed how he met Hammer and told of his reaction when Hammer invited him over for the first time.
He said that after he had received a call from Edward Nana Poku Osei as known in private life, he stood beside a tree, wondering if it wasn’t a mirage or a reality.
“ I think ten or eleven and the person said, YO, is this Sarkodie, and i replied yes” Sark stated.
According to Sarkodie, Hammer introduced himself as a total stranger and asked him to come over to the studio.
“Is it possible that you could come to the studio? As at that moment, I stood by a tree, wondering if it were real or it was just a mirage. I am Awudome, i’d love if you could come. So i run to a friend called Pogasty, who gave me money to come and see you” as he spoke with Hammer live in an instagram chat” he said in Twi.
According to Sarkodie, Hammer motivated him to get the pinnacle he finds himself currently. However, the “Saara” crooner has intimated that his latest music “Subzero” is not a diss track as interpreted by many.
“This is not a diss song,” he stressed adding, “I am telling you that if you want a diss song this is what is going to happen.”
Sarkodie in an interview explained that he does not need the attention that comes with a diss song.
He added that at this time in his career, no rap battle or feud would elevate his career.
“I’m not saying no one is doing well, you could really have bars but it’s just not worth the back and forth. That’s what I am saying,” Sarkodie said.
