Ghana was hit hard by the demise of Beatrice Chinrey, popularly known as Miliky Micool. However, many didn’t know what led to his demise. In an interview with blogger Zionfelix, her son has revealed Miliky Micool was suffering from kidney failure.
Jewel as the son is known intimated that the mother was on dialysis for a period as she battled life. But, life became quite stable as she was able to get some programs to shoot.
” She was on dialysis at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for some time. This was due to kidney problems but after months of battling for her life”, he stated.
Furthermore, things changed as she started getting onto a herbal medicine prescription which stabilized her.
“A herbal treatment was recommended and she started responding to treatment,” he told Zionfelix.

According to Jewel, all the time her mother was battling with kidney failure, only a few people cared. Among the tall list of people she had worked with, only Akrobeto, the CEO of Miracle Films and a few actors have since visited to console the family following the death of her mother.
However, news from the quarters of the Chinnery family revealed that Beatrice Chinnery who shot fame and gained her signature name, “Miliky Micool” from the popular TV sitcom, “Kejetia”, had died at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital.
She was rushed to the Korlebu Teaching Hospital on the morning of 10th June 2020. She was terminally ill, but the situation became quite serious and was thence sent to the hospital where she died.
Confirming the story to Peacfemonline, the brother of the deceased, Robert Chinnery corroborated that his sister had been under the weather for a while. However, the situation changed and Miliky Micool was rushed to the hospital, where she was finally pronounced dead.

Having started acting on stage in 1993 when she was part of David Dontoh’s Koziekozie, Miliky has brought to bear in the movie some of her experiences in acting and movie-making.
In addition to this, she also featured in the popular sitcom, Kejetia in the 2000’s where she gained her name Miliky Micool. Her character, Miliky Micool was a tea seller, who attracted a lot of customers because of her trade slogan and her interesting way she interacted with her characters in the sitcom, “Kejetia”.
She went into the abyss and later came back with the emergence of Television series, YOLO, where she also sold a beverage meal in it. Until she appeared in YOLO, she had tried a come back into the scene with a new film in 2010 with Messiah Productions.
Unfortunately, Miliky Micool who is now dead couldn’t really resurrect her career with that film as it hit the rocks. She also played a role in the comic series, “James Town Fisherman” where she played “Maa Fanti”.
