SARKODIE sells Ghana to the Diaspora at BET HIP POP Awards

The artiste of the decade winner and current pioneer winner in the BEST INTERNATIONAL FLOW award winner list at the just ended 2019 BET HIP POP Awards, Michael Owusu Addo, known in showbiz as Sarkodie has urged the entire diaspora and the globe in general to choose Ghana whenever they are returning to their roots.

The multiple BET AWARD winner made this statement at the event when he beat off top opposition from musicians like Falz from Nigeria, United Kingdom’s Ghetts and Little Simz , Kalash, Nasty C (South Africa) and Tony Lanez (Canada) to emerge the victor in the newly created category.

“I just want to say thank you to the Almighty God. To my family, this one is for my little girl, Titi.

“I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return and I would urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home,” the multiple award winner said.

After winning this award, scores of musicians have tweeted to congratulate him, with the exception of his rival, Shatta Wale whom the former chided in his music, “Advice”.
