A video circulating on social media shows Stonebwoy who was mocking Shatta Wale after the latter tried to do a freestyle during the Asaase Sound Clash and ended up getting such to “Stonebwoy, I am your father”.
Yesterday, 12 September 2020, Ghana was at a standstill as two of Ghana’s prolific dancehall acts, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale locked horns at the Asaase Sound Clash.
Asaase Sound Clash is a battleground for top musicians in Ghana to show their skill as they battle it out with each other on a single stage with both artistes churning hit tunes after hit tunes.
In a rather dramatic entry from both sides, namely Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, the stage became rife for proceedings to commence. The competition which would see the winner take home a brand new car was quite ecstatic.
Fans of both sides trooped in their numbers, although they tried to maintain social distancing during the covid period, but it seemed it wasn’t going to work.
The whole stage turned into an inferno, with fire blazing energetic performances from both sides.
However, the time came for Shatta Wale to try a freestyle, but ended up repeating “Stonebwoy, i am your father”. This caught the attention of Stonebwoy who replies his freestyles with some hot patois vibes much to the admiration of the teeming fans.
In a tweet, Stonebwoy wrote ”
“At the point Opana @shattawalegh wan do Freestyle. Ajeiiii Shatta: Stonebwoy u, for now, say I yam yam your father” he tweeted.
Even though Shatta Wale won with a little over 1000 votes, he couldn’t bear the enigmatic performances of Stonebwoy and only had to bolt.
In view of this, another fan used his talent to celebrate the “Shuga” hitmaker.
