However, speaking in a pre-match press conference and monitored by Obcommunication.com, Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel has revealed his wild admiration for John Terry who is part of the coaching staff of Aston Villa.
He mentioned that although some of the legends had wanted to meet the team when they were training in Portugal, it was not possible, but he would fancy meeting John Terry either after or before the match depending on the mood at that time.
“We have not had a chance to meet in person. I think when we were training in Portugal when we were preparing for the Champions League last-eight, he tried to visit our training,’ Tuchel recalls, remembering back to a previous club and season. ‘That did not happen but I was very happy to have the possibility to see him and to talk to them” Thomas Tuchel indicated.
Thomas Tuchel also revealed that his respect and admiration for Chelsea is not only legends such as John Terry, but for the likes of Frank Lampard, Petr Cech and Ivorian and Chelsea talisman Didier Drogba.
‘The same as for Frank Lampard,’ Tuchel responded when asked. ‘I cannot have a bigger respect for these two guys. With Petr Cech and Didier Drogba, they are guys that come instantly to my mind when I think about and thought about Chelsea Football Club. That is absolutely clear.
Chelsea seeks to retain a spot for Champions League qualification next season with their match against Villa. A win would also boost their confidence for next week’s Champions League finals against Manchester City.
