Lands Commission in Cape Coast very bitter over establishments along the beaches of Cape Coast.

Mr Yaw Osei Owusu, Acting Regional Lands Officer and Head, Public and Vested Land Management Division of the Lands Commission in the Central region has expressed his displeasure over the decision by the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly to give out a protected zone (land) along the Cape Coast Takoradi Highway or the Trans Ecowas Highway.

Speaking on the Atlantic Wave Morning show hosted by Mary Ama Bawa, Mr Osei Owusu who stated that the land from St. Augustines to Elmina stretch are lands that shouldn’t be used for any permanent infrastructural development.

Speaking on the show, he said that he was shocked to see the development of structures to spring up on the beach, an activity that led to the demolition of other structures in August 2018.
