Sad News: 3 months old baby dies from Covid-19 in Tamale.

With a strong debate ensuing about the number of deaths in the country, a 3-month-old baby has died in Tamale.

However, speaking on Citi News and monitored by Obcommunication.com, the Northern Regional Health Director, narrated how the death occurred. Dr John Eleazer, who serves as the Northern Regional Health Director, made this revelation.

He explained that the baby died a few moments after being transferred from the Savelugu Hospital to the Northern Regional Hospital in Tamale.

He told Accra-based Citi FM that two others are an 80-year-old lady who died in May and a 24-year-old lady who died last week.

Currently, the Northern Region has a total case count of 52 coronavirus cases. According to him, 32 persons have recovered from the disease, with 17 active cases being managed at home.

Ghana’s COVID-19 situation

Meanwhile, it is recorded that eight more COVID-19 patients have passed on to increase the death toll in Ghana to 66, according to the Ghana Health Service.

The total number of confirmed cases is now 12,590 after 397 new ones were recorded as of June 17, 2020.

4,410 recoveries have been recorded leaving the active cases at 8,114. 17 patients are currently in a critical situation.
